The Morning Mile was a fantastic way to start Fridays, with children from across the school coming together each week during the past term to embrace the challenge. Collectively, participants ran an incredible 320 miles over the course of the term, a wonderful achievement that reflects their hard work and resilience.
Adding to the excitement was our house competition, with Eagles emerging victorious after a closely contested effort. It has been inspiring to see so many children demonstrate confidence, teamwork and determination while encouraging one another each week. Thanks also to the many parents who joined in. The annual Area Athletics Championships at Corby once again took on an Olympic feel, as our team proudly represented Germany. Our Forms IV–VI athletes were outstanding throughout the day, demonstrating confidence, determination and resilience in every event. The competition featured a range of track disciplines, including sprints, middle-distance races and relays, alongside field events such as the long jump and howler throw.
Competing against much larger schools, our children showed exceptional teamwork and commitment. Their efforts were rewarded with an impressive second-place finish overall, a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the dedication shown by all involved.
Our annual Sports Days provided a wonderful finale to the athletics season and an opportunity for the children to showcase the skills they have been developing in their PE lessons throughout the term. Every child participated with enthusiasm, determination and a smile, making the events a real celebration of confidence and teamwork. Nursery, Pre-School, Kindergarten and Form I enjoyed an afternoon of exciting track events, including hurdles, bean bag, hobby horse and pick-up-a-teddy- bear races. Meanwhile, Form II were given an introduction to Prep Sports Day, competing in three field events alongside sprint, hurdles, middle-distance and relay races, giving them a taste of what lies ahead next year.
