Welly Days are a highlight at Brooke Priory School, where the children take a step back from the classroom and immerse themselves in the great outdoors. Set in the beautiful original grounds of our school, Brooke Priory House, Welly Days offer a unique opportunity for children to engage in activities that nurture creativity, independence, and a love for nature—things that can’t be replicated within the walls of a traditional classroom.

Sport enjoys a pre-eminent role in life at Brooke Priory and is a crucial vehicle in the delivery of the school values. Confidence, teamwork, resilience, respectfulness and honesty are all developed on the sports pitches, not to mention the visible pride and joy of pulling on the school’s jersey each Wednesday and the sense of belonging that comes with this. We are very proud of our competitive fixture ethos, which allows the children to express themselves in a competitive and developmental environment without feeling pressure from the sidelines

Music is an integral part of life at Brooke Priory, with specialist subject teaching ensuring that all pupils receive the highest possible standard of music education. Curriculum music is an opportunity for children to experience a wide variety of musical styles; listen, compose and perform together to develop confidence and a life-long love of music.

We take an inclusive approach to drama, with pupils having the opportunity to take part in plays or musicals throughout the year. All are encouraged to have speaking roles, and pupils are often inspired to develop an interest in both lighting and staging of performances, and to contribute to the writing of some scripts.
