Equestrian Team Training with Andrew Hoy
On 13th November the children in our school equestrian team had the total privilege of a training session at Vale View with multi Olympic medalist Andrew Hoy. This is the kind of event that most equestrian children across the world would dream of being able to do. Our children are incredibly lucky to have been able to do that and we give our huge thanks to Andrew for giving up time in his incredibly busy schedule to train the squad. It was great to see how the children’s riding improved during the session.
After the training, on 15th November the children headed to Bury Farm in Buckinghamshire with their ponies to compete in the NSEA regional qualifiers. The children had some fantastic results, with every child qualifying for the regional championship in classes from 40cm to 60cm which is another step towards qualifying for Hickstead again in the summer.
Particular congratulations to the 50cm team who won their class.
